70% Beaulagh (who is 50/50 Shetland/Cormo Sheep) 30% Mohair
3 Ply; ~410 yards/125 grams; Un-dyed
The special yarn is custom blended and spun for me at a small mill that is able ( and willing) to process a single fleece. Shetland fleeces are quite small so for this custom blend I saved two year's of Beaulagh's fleece.
Beaulagh is a cross bred ewe - 50% Shetland and 50% Cormo. She has a beautiful dark brown fleece. The mill blended in 30% Mohair from their own herd to give me a yarn sturdy enough for socks but soft enough for other knit wear.
The yardage is to the heavy end of sock yarn, nearing a sport weight.
I would either handwash or machine wash inside out in a lingerie bag on wool cycle. Dry flat. No bleach.
